3. Why we use it
Providing the waitlist service
We use your email to record your requested waitlist place and send the confirmation you expect. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in operating the pre-launch service.
Product and beta updates
We send optional product news, beta invitations and launch updates only when you actively opt in. Our lawful basis is consent. You can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Security and service improvement
We use limited technical information to prevent abuse, diagnose delivery problems and understand aggregate site performance. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service reliable and secure.
5. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections. Provider documentation contains details of their locations and safeguards.
6. How long we keep it
Active waitlist records are normally retained until the beta programme ends and for up to 12 months afterward so we can complete requested access and resolve queries. If you unsubscribe, we stop marketing promptly and minimise the record to what is reasonably needed to honour the suppression request, prevent accidental re-enrolment and demonstrate compliance. Security and delivery logs are retained only for operationally necessary periods.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
